The Process.

Nantucket Wedding Invitations

I’m so excited you’re interested in working with me! Let’s walk through the process so you know just what to expect. You should budget roughly 2-3 weeks for the design process, and 1-2 weeks for printing & assembly.

Once we’ve decided to work together, I’ll send over a detailed proposal that outlines everything we’re agreeing to (pricing, timeline, the whole nine) as well as a contract (this more so covers intellectual property stuff). Upon getting the go-ahead on that, I’ll send a payment request for a 50% deposit - and then the fun begins!

To inform my design work, I send over a thorough client questionnaire for you and your partner to think about the vibe and vision you have for your stationery and your big day (save this! It’s super helpful to use for other vendors as well). We’ll have a 30 minute kickoff call to go over this, brainstorm ideas, and get to know each other a bit more. From there, I hit the studio and begin my three-part design process:

  1. Concept Development / 1st Draft: I’ll put together a moodboard, color palette and initial sketch of your suite at a high level. This version will not be in full detail, but we’ll agree on the direction we want to take your designs in.

  2. Detailed 2nd Draft: I’ll bring our concept to life, adding full detail, color, and lots of love, to it. I may show you different options for different designs, depending on where things go. At this point you’ll have the chance to make revisions like adding (or removing!) illustrations, tweaking text, etc - but no large scale revisions at this point.

  3. Final Draft: I will incorporate your edits into the final draft! Once I get your confirmation we will secure the final deposit, and move into the print stage.

Print Options.

Option 1.

I work with an awesome printer in Boston and I can help coordinate a custom print job to meet your needs. They specialize in digital printing that beautifully highlights my watercolor artwork. Pricing varies based on materials and quantities, but expect to pay a few hundred dollars for this. I also charge a 20% commission on top for managing the job, and there will be a shipping fee included as well.

Option 2.

I send you the print files as PDF’s and you take them to your printer of choice! I’m happy to recommend an online printing company and make suggestions on how to get the best product at the end. This will save you money and time, so a great option to consider!
